Markup-driven, type-safe, reactive web applications in F# with WebSharper (200)

Speaker: Adam Granicz
Session language:

In this talk, I will discuss how you can leverage functional and reactive programming in F# to develop web applications with UI.Next, WebSharper’s next generation reactive DOM construction library. We will work on short yet impressive examples using WebSharper’s unique reactive templates, that provide a type-safe abstraction over reactive markup and an underlying client-side data model, and discover a fundamentally more powerful, concise and robust notation to design and implement web applications entirely in F#. We will look at the machinery behind the scenes that make this happen, and discuss advanced topics such as adding persistence and other server-side hooks to your reactive data model, enabling all sorts of awesome ideas to be implemented.
By the end of the talk, you will have seen the benefits of shifting ALL of your client-side development to F#, and you will be equipped with everything you need to know to start your own functional, reactive web development project and enjoy
